Books, books,books.

Here are some more novels that I’ve read and enjoyed recently and I hope you’ll find something here that appeals to you. There’s all sorts, British and American authors, some historical settings, some contemporary psychological crime, a modern classic and I borrowed most of them from my local library 🙂

The Ballroom by Anna Hope

My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout

The Perfect Girl by Gilly Macmillan

Exposure by Helen Dunmore

The Widow by Fiona Barton

Frog Music by Emma Donoghue

The Trouble With Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon

Stoner by John Williams

  1. Hi Cath.
I was wondering if you were planning on writing anymore Scott & Bailey novels that tie in to seasons 4 and 5? I know ITV’s axed the series, which is a shame but understandable for the cast, but I was wondering if you had any plans to write novels for it anymore?
    Please, please do.

    Thanks
    Robert Feld.

    1. Hi Robert, That’s very kind of you but I’m not doing any more books. We agreed on three and although I loved writing those wonderful characters by the time I’d done three books (and with 5 series on TV) it felt like there weren’t many personal stories still left for me to explore. Thanks for getting in touch. Cath
